Disclaimer: This is PROBABLY the most significant wealth of knowledge I have, and it's about social media and career insights available. However, as I type this, I claim not to know everything. Yet, I would suggest I know enough to provide helpful advice should anyone claim to look this way.
Content isn't only videos or audio people watch or listen to on their screens. It's everything sold, being sold, or for sale. It is the things we eat and drink and what we keep our eyes and ears on. It puts Stephen Hawking's book The Theory of Everything into a marketing perspective.
In the modern market, it is believed that the new era of wealth is being captured by those who control attention. Before that, it was the tech boom. Before then, it was the dot com boom. The list is long, but even if you realize that better access to tech is meant to establish better communication between people, it can be argued that attention has always been the key to controlling the market.
Every new invention, each new incentive, all bigger, better, brighter ideas are meant to be created to the capture of attention an audience that is willing to pass capital for wealth. The intricate web of tech that has made sharing easier has also made understanding the audience increase the depth expansion more rapidly than ever.
The best way to make it in this market is through working collaboratively and having a clear idea of what is being produced. In a sense, it's knowing your allies and your enemies. The grind for financial success shouldn't be between kill or be killed while the survivor takes all. Instead, it's better to think of ways to work together more often to create something that benefits the most.
Developing ideas to sustain yourself in this market is nearly improbable unless you can compete financially with companies that have been selling to the market for roughly a century. Daily commodities and necessary consumption have the highest margins since the dawn of man, as we all need to eat. Yet, if you have tech that makes it easier to breathe, hydrate, eat well, and survive temperature fluctuations across the multitude of biomes everywhere, you control everything.
No company or person controls all those ideas. That means there's still room to discover and trade ideas. Being an entrepreneur is a massive opportunity, and it shouldn't be a journey taken alone over the entire process. All good ideas for improving anything start with a realization that something could be better, so taking the steps to create something becomes a goal.
If you intend to change anything for the better, it starts with you, not with someone else.
